10 Best Lenses For Canon 7d Mark ii 2022 – Reviews & Guide
The Canon 7D Mark II has been out for over a year and the first lenses released for it are already showing up in the pre-owned market. For those starting or adding to their kit, I thought it would be helpful to list the best 7D Mark II lenses.
Some people may say that the 5D Mark III is a better camera than the 7D Mark II, but it doesn’t have all of the same features as this APS-C sensor DSLR. One of those missing features is high-speed burst mode continuous shooting. 9 fps on a full-frame camera is pretty good, but 10 fps or more on an APS-C sensor is even better.
The first thing that we all look at when choosing a lens is the focal length. This determines whether we want a wide-angle lens for landscapes and architecture or a telephoto lens for portraits and sports. While there are other things to consider when picking a lens, focal length is still one of the first things that you look at when comparing different lenses.
Is the 7D Mark II a good camera?
The Canon EOS 7D Mark II is a professional APS-C digital SLR with a 20MP sensor, Dual Pixel AF and 10fps continuous shooting. Announced in September 2014, it’s essentially the successor to the 2009 original EOS 7D model, although it also shares some traits with the more recent 70D model.
It’s one of the most affordable DSLRs available with a built-in autofocus motor for photographers wanting to buy older lenses. It’s also one of the fastest APS-C DSLRs on the market with a top burst rate of 10fps and an 61 point autofocus system.
What lens fits the Canon 7D Mark II?
All Canon EF and EF-S lenses will work with the Canon 7D Mark II. However, some older lenses may not be able to take advantage of all the features of the camera.
For example, all lenses will autofocus on the 7D Mark II, but only lenses with a maximum aperture of f/5.6 or faster will autofocus in Live View mode. For the fastest and most reliable autofocus in Live View mode, you’ll want a lens that is f/2.8 or faster.
