The Acer Predator XB241H Full HD display with 1920×1080 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The pixel density is about 93 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). You can see individual pixels if you look closely enough. The screen does not have the sharpness of a 27′ or higher resolution monitor, but for gaming it is perfect.
I have used it for side by side comparison with my old 24′ Samsung Sync Master and there is no comparison. Games are so much more smooth and more fluid on the Predator.
I picked up this monitor after an easy to use the online chat with an Acer technical representative. I was looking for a 144Hz refresh rate monitor and he confirmed that this monitor was 1080p and could be overclocked to 180Hz. He said that I would need to use Display Port to do so.
I was going to plug the monitor into my graphics card’s HDMI port, but I decided to go ahead and buy a DisplayPort cable so that I could overclock the monitor if necessary. 240Hz would be even better, but this is plenty fast enough for me right now, so I am happy with it as is.
