What I find most commendable about the IdeaPad 3 is its 14-inch screen. This 1080p panel has great color reproduction, and the brightness is high enough to be seen outdoors. All in all, it’s a very good display for a budget laptop.

Pros:

Cons:
- Speakers are on the bottom (you won’t get the most out of your music) but they still sound good.
- Plastic casing (moves if you push on it, feels cheap) but its sturdy and doesn’t bend when you pick it up by the corners.
- Heats up during gaming (not unbearable, but unnoticeable).
- One suggestion: put a small table fan under it to cool it down so it doesn’t heat up in the first place. If you’re playing a game that requires more power, then turn off the fan while you are playing. This will allow the laptop to use more power which will make your game run smoother and your system cooler. ntWhen you’re done playing, just turn back on!
- A great investment for less than $20! I have this onethere is no table fan around or if you don’t want to buy one, then try putting your laptop on top of a pillow or blanket instead because something soft underneath it will help absorb some of the heat and make sure to set your laptop at an angle with something else underneath so that air can easily circulate through those bottom air vents!

- It’s inexpensive and amazing! Not only does it keep your system cool as ice (even during intense gaming sessions), but because of how slim this pad is…it also makes typing much more comfortable since now both hands can rest comfortably on either side of th ekeyboard without ever having to worry.
Drawbacks
The keyboard is a little noisy, but at least it has a number pad and the keys are impressively bouncy. The trackpad is good and responsive, but the button is noisy too. Both the screen and speakers are decent for an inexpensive laptop. Sadly there’s no support for G-Sync and the higher-resolution option doesn’t allow you to play games above 60 frames per second in full resolution anyway.
It’s also too bad that this machine doesn’t have an Ethernet port, although I appreciated HP’s decision to include only three USB ports rather than four so there would be room for HDMI on both sides of the laptop (the Omen 15 has two ports on one side, while the Legion Y720 has two ports on opposite sides).

I bought this laptop for my 12-year-old son several months ago. He uses it for school, which involves taking online classes and a lot of typing. He was getting frustrated with his old, slow laptop, and I wanted to get him something that was fast and ran smoothly. So far, this one has met our expectations. It runs very quickly and is smooth with no problems or glitches. The design is great; the laptop is lightweight but feels sturdy–it seems like it could take some wear and tears. It also looks sleek!
Since my son is using this for schoolwork, we got the model with a lot of memory so that it would be able to hold all his files (32GB). The price was reasonable considering its specs (1TB SSD). Some other laptops in the same price range had less memory and slower processors, so I think it’s a good value for the money you pay.
Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase! It’s just what we needed for remote learning: reliable and portable enough to carry around from room to room as my son attends his online classes throughout the day. It seems well built too–we’ll see how much use it gets over time but so far we haven’t had any issues with it at all!

It’s located on top of the screen bezel, in the midddle. This has been a trend for many laptop makers recently. The problem with this is that your barfing will be right in front of you (if you’re a geek like me with a table or desk) while you’re video chatting or making videos, so it’s not exactly flattering all the time.
Also, it’s not Full HD resolution and can’t even do 720p at 60fps (that would have been cool). So if u want to take selfies or make videos to share online, i guess it should do fine. But if you need more than that, then this laptop isn’t for you!

However, the model tested for this review had only 16 GB RAM onboard but it was upgradable up to 64 GB RAM when needed (by removing the back cover). The 128GB M2 SSD storage is quick and sufficient enough for daily use. You can add more storage if you want. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card provides solid performance for gaming at 1080p ultra settings producing 60+fps for most titles in 2020 with no issues whatsoever – it’s even capable of handling 1440p at its highest settings on some games but expect lower fps due to the Full HD display panel.

This laptop is a great value for the price. The screen is bright and clear. It is thin and comes with Windows 10 Professional version. The backlight keyboard is very convenient to use in low light conditions. I have been using it regularly since I purchased the item a few days ago.

This is a great laptop for the money!
This is a great laptop for the money. It’s light, thin and has a beautiful design. The performance is surprisingly fast with the Intel i3 cpu, 8gb ram and 128gb SSD hard drive. The display is good but not amazing. I am using it as my work laptop and it does fine with Microsoft office, Google apps etc… What really makes this laptop amazing to me are the ports! It has 2 USB C ports, 1 USB 3.0 port and an HDMI out! Thats unheard of for a laptop at this price point! I really like the keyboard also, it’s comfortable to type on considering how thin the laptop is overall.

Drawbacks
Even though this laptop is comparatively cheap, you may want to avoid it. The battery life lasts less than half as long as other laptops. The screen is dimmer and not as colorful or detailed as other screens, and the processor is underpowered. In addition, there are issues with the trackpad, keyboard, ports and speakers.
This laptop has a battery life of 1 hour 30 minutes. This is a quarter of the average battery life for laptops on the market today (5 hours 50 minutes).
