10 Best Laptop For Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 – Reviews & Guide
If you are a video editor and looking for the best laptop for Adobe Premiere Pro, then you’ve come to the right place.
Video editors need powerful computers that can handle heavy workloads, especially when editing multiple layers of 4K footage.
The best laptop for Adobe Premiere Pro offers great performance because video-editing programs are resource-intensive. In addition to the hardware, the laptop should be portable and lightweight so you can take it with you when traveling.
It also needs a large display that provides a comfortable view of the content you’re editing. The best laptop for Adobe Premiere Pro has a good GPU (graphics card) that can handle all the tasks thrown at it by this software. Overall, it’s important to choose a powerful machine that meets all your requirements.
To help you make an informed decision, we’ve selected three laptops that we think are the best laptops for Adobe Premiere Pro. We’ll then go over some factors to consider when buying one.

Is 8 GB RAM enough for Adobe Premiere Pro?
Yes, it is. Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the best and most accessible professional video editing programs around, thanks to its regular updates and intuitive interface. And you’ll need a powerful computer to run it — but how much memory do you actually need?
If you’re using Premiere Pro on its own, then 8GB of RAM is enough for most projects. However, if you’re editing together large amounts of high-resolution media, then you may find that 16GB or even 32GB of memory will help your system cope with the load.
Premiere Pro’s performance relies heavily on your computer’s specs. In this article we’ll be looking at some ways to streamline your system so that Premiere Pro runs more smoothly.
Which CPU best for video editing?
If you’re editing video, you need a fast processor. The faster the better. That’s because your CPU is responsible for encoding (or decoding) the video you’re editing, and video is extremely demanding.
That said, there are some caveats to the idea that faster is always better in video editing:
Video editors are among the most demanding software applications in terms of system resources. As a result, they’ll run well on most current-generation computers — i5 and i7 processors from Intel or A10 and A12 processors from AMD are plenty fast enough for most purposes. If your computer is a couple of years old and has an Intel Core i5 or higher processor, it’s probably fine for basic video editing work.
Video encoding is sensitive to delays in RAM access and disk I/O speeds. You may not see huge differences between high-end CPUs when comparing them in a single system against other components that can be bottlenecks.
If you’re doing very serious professional or highly specialized work, like 3D animation, you may need a powerful multi-core CPU or GPU acceleration to get good performance from certain applications. Otherwise, you’d be throwing money down the drain by buying more processing power than you need.
The most important factor to consider when choosing a CPU for video editing is the number of cores. The more cores you have, the more tasks your computer can handle at once. This is especially important when you’re running multiple applications at the same time.

Processor Brand Intel
The most common type of processor is the processor, which is often referred to as the brain. This device connects all other parts of your computer and is found in nearly every laptop or desktop computer. The processor does a lot of different things, including controlling how fast your computer boots up, launching applications and playing media files.

A great gaming laptop for content creators
The MSI P65 Creator-1084 is a great gaming laptop for content creators. It’s uber thin, has a solid processor and graphics card, a 4K display, and comes with an SSD. However, I would pick another model that comes with an RTX 2070 or 2080 graphics card. The P65 features the Intel Core i7-9750H processor with six cores and 12 threads.
It also has 32GB of DDR4 memory (2x16GB), which is enough to handle all your programs at once. Storage options are either the 1TB Teton Glacier SSD or the 512GB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 SSD.

Computer Memory Type SODIMM
Random-access memory (RAM /ræm/) is a form of computer memory that can be read and changed in any order, typically used to store working data and machine code. A random-access memory device allows data items to be read or written in almost the same amount of time irrespective of the physical location of data inside the memory; RAM contains multiplexing and demultiplexing circuitry, to connect the data lines to the addressed storage for reading or writing the entry.
In contrast, with other direct-access data storage media such as hard disks, CD-RWs, DVD-RWs and the older magnetic tapes and drum memory, the time required to read and write data items varies significantly depending on their physical locations on the recording medium, due to mechanical limitations such as media rotation speeds and arm movement.
batter SI P65 Creator-1084
If you’re looking for a gaming laptop MSI P65 Creator-1084 is not the best option for you. Plus, this model is also not good for office work. It has no SD card slot, lacks USB-C ports and misses Thunderbolt 3 port too. Another problem with short battery life that lasts only about 3 hours.
Pros and Cons
PROS
- Great for gaming and content creation
- 4K resolution, backlit keyboard
- Powerful performance
- Good display
CONS
- Expensive, heavy, no webcam, bad battery life
Drawbacks
- The gaming laptop is not ideal for people who are looking for a portable laptop. It is not as thin or lightweight as other business laptops in the market and hence, it might be hard to carry it around on a daily basis.
- The battery life of the MSI P65 Creator is not great either. While it can last you through a movie with its screen brightness set to minimum, one hour of writing and studying will drain away nearly half of its power.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Fast, powerful and built for speed
- 144Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response time, 300 nits, 72% NTSC
- All-metal chassis
Cons
- Battery Life
- Fingerprint Reader
- Keyboard
- Speakers
Drawbacks
Let’s start with the bad, and for us, that begins with the battery life. Even though it may have a 6-cell 53.2Wh Li-ion battery, we didn’t find it to be all that great. And when you couple that with the fact that unfortunately, this laptop doesn’t have an extended battery pack, then things just get even worse.
This is also one of those laptops where you won’t be having too much fun interacting with the keyboard and touchpad.
This is because both of them are pretty basic in their design and functionality. When it comes to the keyboard, there is no lighting except for one LED above each key which indicates when Num Lock or Caps Lock has been activated (which doesn’t help much in low-light conditions).
As for the keys themselves, they are rather shallow and don’t feel particularly comfortable when typing as there is not enough travel to make this laptop’s keyboard really comfortable to use either during gaming or working on documents or spreadsheets.

Great laptop with very good features that makes it the easier choice of a gaming laptop in the market.
When you buy a laptop, the first thing that you want to check is its features and performance, the second thing is the price tag and then comes its design.
Great design makes a laptop more appealing, portable and stylish but these good-looking laptops are not always powerful enough to handle gaming.
But luckily we have a great example of such laptops with good design, performance and features all in one package. Yes! we are talking about ASUS ROG Zephyrus M GU502 which has an amazing 240Hz 15.6 inches display along with some other great features which make it a complete package for gamers who want something portable as well as powerful in their hands.
So let’s start in our detailed review of this laptop by taking a look at its amazing design which has made it stand out among all the other gaming laptops due to its amazing looks.
Pros and Cons
Since there are both upsides and downsides to this product, we will discuss the pros and cons of this laptop.
- Pros: First of all, it is very light and portable which is an important factor for people who travel a lot. Moreover, the design of the laptop is very appealing to the eyes making everybody like it at first sight. In addition to that, another pro would be its display which is a 15.6” 240Hz FHD IPS display that delivers smooth gaming experiences and gorgeous visuals for many applications; Besides that, The Zephyrus M GU502GW features a GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with 8GB VRAM and Max-Q design technology alongside an Intel Core i7-9750H CPU. Together they offer incredible performance for most games on high settings at 1080p resolution; Lastly, this laptop has great battery life up to 5 hours thanks to its 4-cell Li-ion 50Wh battery pack with fast charging technology supporting a 60% charge in just 49 minutes for easy productivity when you’re away from your desk
- Cons: Despite all those good qualities mentioned above, this laptop suffers from overheating due to its cooling system as well as loud fans while operating which makes it not suitable for people who don’t like noise
Drawbacks
- The first drawback is the lack of a USB C port. While this is a big drawback in most laptops, it doesn’t matter much because the ROG Zephyrus M Thin and Portable Gaming Laptop has so many other high-speed ports–like its Thunderbolt 3 port, which allows high data transfer speeds.
- Another drawback of the ROG Zephyrus M Thin and Portable Gaming Laptop is that it only has one terabyte of solid-state storage space. There are some workarounds for this (for example, using an external hard drive).
- The ROG Zephyrus M Thin and Portable Gaming Laptop also lacks an Ethernet port, which as we all know is important for gamers who need to have their network connection be as good as possible.
- One more drawback of the ROG Zephyrus M Thin and Portable Gaming Laptop is that it does not have a fingerprint scanner, which can be annoying if you want to use your finger instead of entering a password on your laptop when you wake it up from sleep or log in to Windows (I know I do).

4K gaming laptop
If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line laptop that’s built for gaming, the Razer Blade Stealth 13 Ultrabook Gaming Laptop is worth considering. This machine boasts an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q GPU with 4GB of VRAM and a quad core Intel Core i7 processor that offers speeds up to 3.9GHz.
Additionally, it has a beautiful 13.3-inch 4K UHD display, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of solid state storage. So you can enjoy high quality graphics and fast loading times during your favorite games or when using creative software.
This gaming laptop also is capable of running everyday tasks like surfing the web or streaming media thanks to its powerful processor and 8MB cache. And because it runs on Windows 10 Pro, you’ll have access to tons of useful apps and programs through the Microsoft Store as well as file sharing services like Dropbox or OneDrive.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- It’s a good solid, thin laptop with cutting edge hardware and a 4k display. The build quality is excellent though the price point of $1700+ is high.
- The keyboard, trackpad/numpad and fingerprint reader are as good as Apple’s MacBook Pro 13. Not everyone prefers the feel of Mac keyboards but this one is great.
- The CPU is Intel’s 10th gen 1065G7 Ice Lake i7-1065G7 and it’s a strong performing CPU with powerful integrated graphics that can hold its own when gaming at 1080p screen resolution on battery power or lower settings depending on the game (or even higher if the game has graphics quality options for IGP). While it does have Thunderbolt 3 support it does not come with an external GPU enclosure so you cannot add in extra dedicated video card power to boost performance significantly. This machine won’t replace your desktop gaming rig but will certainly give you decent 1080p gaming capabilities…or allow you to do some serious content creation work like editing video, photo editing or similar (though again we wish there was more storage space for this type of application).
- The display supports 100% Adobe RGB color space which means pretty much every color under the sun is available on this display making it an excellent choice for video editors, photographers and artists alike who need accurate colors while they work.
Drawbacks
As a self-professed gaming nerd, I have had the pleasure of using Razer’s ultraportable Blade Stealth. The Blade is an ultrabook, which means it is thin, lightweight, and relatively powerful—but we are not talking about a beefy gaming machine here.
Don’t expect to play games like League of Legends or Overwatch; the Blade has limited graphics performance and capacity. Instead, you are getting roughly 30 frames per second in most modern titles when the screen resolution is set to 1080p (1440 x 720).
So why would I recommend you buy this laptop? As someone who spends a lot of time online in many different social media outlets, I’m often on my laptop for hours at a stretch. In an ideal situation, this is when I want to be able to watch videos or listen to music and not have to deal with interruption from incessant notifications and messages from people who would rather send me something than actually talk with me.
This might sound crazy but it’s true: if I want to be immersed in what I am doing then having all these distractions constantly popping up on my screen makes that experience significantly less enjoyable than having no computer noises around me at all.
Another reason I love Razer’s ultraportable machine is its longevity: unlike many other laptops available today that can burn out after months of usage because they have low quality batteries that wear down way too quickly or are cheaply made—the Blade Stealth uses Nvidia’s Max Q technology where there are three independent quad-core processors powering the laptop instead of just one central processor unit like other laptops use that make their cooling system less effective as well as use more energy than necessary while performing simple tasks such as running an internet browser or email client—making it last longer while maintaining good performance levels while doing so.

This laptop uses a 256GB SSD (Solid State Drive) as its main storage. This is the best type of storage currently available in laptops:
- It boots up and loads applications fast
- It drains little power, thus giving longer battery life
Plus, it gives you good portability and a reliable build quality.
16GB RAM
If you are looking for the best laptop with a large amount of memory, you’re in luck as many models feature 16 GB of RAM. We have compared and reviewed some of the top performing laptops with this configuration for you to find the best one for your needs.
16GB of RAM: More than enough for most people
When it comes to choosing RAM, size matters. The more memory (or better yet, memory slots), the better. In general, if you are using a 64-bit operating system, then 16GB is more than enough for most people.
If you do a lot of multitasking or edit high-res photos or video, then 16GB is recommended. That being said, even less powerful computers can usually be upgraded with more RAM by adding an extra memory stick or two.
Why not 24GB? 32GB? Or even 128 GB? – You may wonder why we recommend 16GB over other larger configurations such as 24GB or 32 GB -“Cramming in a larger capacity RAM module doesn’t always mean that it will work at its full speed.”

IMPROVED COOLING AND QUIETER SYSTEM: Enhanced thermal design includes dual fans separated to spread heat over a larger area and hidden exhaust venting through the hinge allows for operation in thinner form factors
Display: 15.6 inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160)
The XPS 15 display is one of the best we’ve seen on a laptop, and the 16:10 aspect ratio puts much more vertical space on the screen. That’s important for those working with lots of data or web pages open at once, but it’s also helpful for video editing. The 63 percent larger touchpad is good for gestures, too.
The biggest complaint about previous XPS 15 models was the display — namely that it wasn’t 4K resolution. That has finally changed here with a 15.6-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge Anti-Reflective Touch IPS100% sRGB 400-Nits display that’s simply stunning — though you’ll pay an extra $300 to get it.
The viewing angles are great and everything looks crisp and clear thanks to its high pixel density (276 PPI). We’ve also been very pleased with how bright it gets as well as its contrast ratio and color accuracy.
You’re even getting HDR support (400 nits), which makes colors pop even more than they already do when watching compatible content on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, but unless you have an excellent TV or PC monitor that supports HDR, you might not notice much of a difference in everyday scenarios.
Processor and Memory: 9th Generation Intel Core i7-9750H
The 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor featuring with 6 cores and 12 threads, lets you work on more things at once. With up to 4.5 GHz Max Turbo Frequency and 12MB Cache, which offers strong performance for the toughest tasks, high-quality graphics, and increased responsiveness of your system. Ultra smooth gameplay is enhanced by the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB graphics designed for gaming with Turing GPU architecture.
16GB DDR4-2666MHz memory is included as standard allowing for excellent multitasking capabilities. You may want to expand this in the future which is why this machine has 2 SODIMM sockets allowing for a maximum 64GB RAM when both are filled.

Video Card and Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5, you’re going to love this. A video card is a discrete graphics processor that plugs into one of your laptop’s PCI Express (PCIe) expansion slots.
It has its own memory and processing power, which lets it offload the tasks of rendering images on the screen from your CPU. The graphics chip in this video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with 4 GB of GDDR5 video memory.
That means that it can handle demanding 3D games, CAD programs and professional-grade photo and video editing software like Adobe Photoshop without breaking a sweat. With a 60 Hz refresh rate and four lanes of PCI Express Gen 3 throughput, performance will be fast enough for even more demanding online gaming applications without any visible screen lag or stuttering.

You can use it on the go, and be able to work all day without worrying about finding a plug in time. Batteries are also easy to replace if you ever need to.
AC power
AC power is a term that can refer to many different things.
For example, the power cord that comes with your laptop is an AC power cord. The extension cord you use at home or in your office might be referred to as an AC power cable. The wall outlet at home or in your office is also referred to as an AC power outlet. Lastly, the charging adapter that comes with many laptops and cell phones is commonly referred to as an AC adapter.
Thunderbolt 3
Since its introduction in 2011, the XPS line of laptops has had one goal: be the most powerful and feature-dense portable system out there. For example, our top-of-the-line model did not come equipped with a touchscreen or an optical drive—but it boasted a whopping four Thunderbolt 3 ports that provided nearly twice the transfer speed potential of USB 2.0.
As if that wasn’t enough to blow your mind, this particular XPS was also equipped with a 4K display and a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor with over 16GB RAM (a first for any laptop). It’s no wonder that this thing is so fast—you can literally take this machine wherever you want without worrying about where to plug in or how to get power.
Overall, we’re confident saying that this is the best laptop you can buy right now.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Feature: Dell XPS 15 7590 Laptop 15.6 inch, 4K UHD OLED InfinityEdge, 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5, 256GB SSD, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Home, XPS7590-7572SLV-PUS, 15-15.99 inches
- Feature: Dell XPS 15 7590 Laptop has a striking design with a brilliant display and powerful components under the hood. The laptop also offers excellent performance in both gaming and productivity tasks.
Cons
- Feature: Battery life is disappointing for this gaming laptop despite its energy efficient OLED panel in general browsing and video streaming tasks due to its faster CPU and GPU that consume more power than their predecessors. The battery life can last for about 3 hours or less depending on the active software used on it at any given time
Drawbacks
- CPU: 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H 6-Core Processor (12MB Cache, up to 4.5 gigahertz w/Turbo Boost)
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz, 2x8G
- Storage: 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive
- Display: 15.6 inch 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge Anti-Reflective Touch IPS 100% minimum Adobe RGB 400-Nits display | Dolby Vision

Dell has long been a stalwart in the PC world but the company’s XPS laptops have become top contenders once again with their refined design and powerful components. The Dell XPS 15 7590 is one of the most capable laptops on the market, but it still suffers from some drawbacks that are hard to ignore when you’re spending over $2,000 for a computer that also weighs nearly 5 pounds and suffers from lackluster battery life.

GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED YD is a gaming laptop. Let us have a look at the laptop review and specifications:
What’s Good? *Great display*Good battery life*Lightweight and portable design
Your eyes will love the 4K UHD OLED display with its stunning clarity, 100% DCI-P3/ HDR 600 True Black Display, and vibrant colors.
Enjoy true visuals on the 15.6” OLED Thin Bezel Display: 4.4 mm thin bezel, 91% screen-to-body ratio, Ultra HD 4K resolution – the best choice for visual enjoyment.
The AERO 15 OLED YD features a color space of DCI-P3 that enables it to display more colors than the standard RGB color space. With True Black Display technology, the AERO 15 OLED YD delivers deeper and darker blacks with even higher contrast.
You can view content in stunning 4K resolution on the AERO 15 OLED YD, which is four times more detailed than Full HD. With an expansive 16:9 ratio, you get 3840 x 2160 pixels of rich and vivid colors.
With a 4.4 mm thin bezel, the AERO 15 OLED YD offers more real estate for its display and a better chance to immerse yourself in the game. The narrow bezels not only allow for a sleeker design, but also give you more work space on your desk.
The thin bezels are always getting smaller and smaller with each iteration of laptops and as technology improves. For example, the MacBook Pro’s 16-inch display has shrunken bezels that lets it fit into the same chassis as its predecessor with a 15.4-inch screen.
The narrow bezels not only make your laptop look better, they also provide more screen real estate than traditional larger ones do. Having smaller borders is becoming increasingly popular because they are lighter in weight and give laptops a premium feel.
while also providing users with an immersive viewing experience that transports them right into their favorite movies or games without any distractions from outside sources such as light reflections off glossy screens or borders blocking portions of content displayed on screen at any given moment during gameplay or video playback sessions.
91% screen-to-body ratio
If you’re the type that can’t deal with bezels and is obsessed with screen sizes, then we’ve got good news for you. The AERO 15 OLED YD boasts a 91% screen-to-body ratio and 4.4mm thin bezel. No more distractions from gameplay and content creation!
And if that’s not enough, ultra HD 4K resolution will make sure your eyes are entertained at all times. Expect to get an experience unlike any other with this level of detail coming in at sharp 3840 x 2160 pixels. It goes without saying that the color depth is outstanding as well since it has NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU 8GB GDDR6 onboard!
In short, if you want crazy pixel density, no bezel to speak of, and top-of-the line visual experience across the board – this is where it’s at.
Ultra HD 4K resolution – the best choice for visual enjoyment
The Ultra HD 4K resolution (3840×2160) on the high-end AERO OLED series is the best choice for visual enjoyment. The super sharp image quality, rich details, and accurate color that comes with a 4K screen are crucial for professional content creation, gaming, or movie watching.
Our OLED display technology brings you a new level of gorgeous visuals with superior visibility under sunlight, perfect black color reproduction. With HDR 400 True Black certification and 10bit color depth support in the AERO OLED series laptop, you can experience a dramatic visual upgrade from standard displays.

8GB GDDR6
In this context, GDDR6 refers to the memory technology that powers your laptop. It is an acronym for “Graphics Double Data Rate Type 6.” The amount of GDDR6 is used to determine how many graphics a laptop can handle and process at any given time.
GDDR6 technology provides smooth, efficient performance so that you are able to work on multiple projects or watch multiple videos simultaneously without experiencing any lag. This is particularly important when you’re working with graphic-intensive programs like Photoshop, Premiere Pro or Maya.
More commonly in the casual gaming space, if you’re playing a game that pushes your system hard—think triple-A titles like popular FPS games—then having enough GDDR6 will allow for higher frame rates and better looking textures and graphics overall.
This particular model offers 8GB of GDDR6–which means it has enough power to handle the demands of virtually any creative software or game out there, even the most intense ones requiring powerful GPUs.
16GB DDR4 3200MHz
The AERO 15 OLED YD-73US624SP includes 16GB DDR4 3200MHz, which is fast enough for even the most demanding programs. But if you want to upgrade, you can also increase it to 64GB when you purchase this laptop. This laptop comes with an Intel Core i7-10870H processor and is compatible with DDR4 RAM – a newer, faster and more energy efficient type of RAM than DDR3 RAM. The storage space is 1TB SSD, allowing for plenty of space for storing all your favorite files.

94.24Wh Battery
You’ll be pleased to know that the AERO 15 OLED has a 94.24Wh battery for all your power needs. You might not realize this, but this is an insanely large battery. It’s the biggest unit on any laptop in its class, and it allows you to use your computer for extended periods of time without needing to recharge. The battery is a Li-Ion Polymer unit, and it’s also removable if you need to replace it.
The laptop automatically detects what kind of plugged-in power supply you have (AC or DC) as well as how much charge is left in your battery at any given time. If you’re using a low-power charger, the laptop will automatically adjust its performance levels accordingly so that you don’t waste power unnecessarily.
It also monitors the overall health of your battery by keeping track of things like voltage, temperature, and cycle count so that you can accurately predict when it’s going to die on you without fail! This way we can make sure everything runs smoothly at all times because we’ve been working hard with our developers on making sure there isn’t anything wrong with their products.”

Paired with the silver lining, the white backlit keyboard not only looks great but also improves visibility in low-light conditions.
The anti-ghost key function ensures that your input is registered, no matter how many keys you press at once. It also allows for more robust operation than a conventional keyboard.
A durable chassis can withstand the wear and tear of everyday use.
Ultra Durable Chassis with Brushed Aluminum and Magnesium Alloy
The Gigabyte Aero 15 is a high-end laptop for work, play, and everything in between. This model features an Intel Core i7-10750H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 16GB RAM (2 x 8GB) DDR4 at 2933MHz, a 1TB SSD, and Microsoft Windows 10 Pro.
Despite being incredibly powerful and well equipped for tasks ranging from high-end gaming to video editing and more, the Gigabyte Aero 15 weighs in at just 4.4 pounds making it one of the lightest laptops on our list. It also has a battery life of up to 12 hours which is another major plus point for this machine.
This laptop’s 15.6-inch display supports 4K at 60Hz or 1080p at 144Hz (300 nits) meaning that you can enjoy crisp visuals whether you’re playing games or working on creative projects like photo retouching or graphic design work with Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 software installed on your computer as well as other programs like Lightroom Classic CC 2018 because these apps will run smoothly even if they are not optimized yet thanks to the powerful components inside this laptop!
The only drawback we found was related to price; however after looking into how much similar laptops were retailing for elsewhere we think that $1799 USD could be seen as reasonable considering all its features including an excellent keyboard with macro keys which some users might want but not need so would still prefer buying them anyway despite their cost since their performance outweighs any negatives about their usage especially when compared against something like Razer’s Blade Stealth 13 inch Ultrabook (which does not have dedicated graphics cards due to its slim size).
Still though there’s no denying that some may consider both options overpriced and instead choose the MSI GL63 8RCS-060 gaming notebook which costs less than half as much yet still packs an Intel Core i5 processor along with NVIDIA GeForce

This laptop is a piece of art so much so that I would put it on my mantle or maybe mount it to my wall for safe keeping. You can buy this laptop on Amazon for about $3,000 and take $200 off if you use the code “laptop123” during checkout.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- 4K AMOLED display with HDR 600 and 100% DCI-P3
- Sleek design
- Great performance
- Excellent battery life
- Good keyboard
- Good port selection
- Quiet and efficient
Drawbacks
The AERO 15 OLED YD is expensive. But it’s a premium laptop made of high-end parts, so that should come as no surprise.
We do still have some minor concerns about the screen quality and availability, as with the previous model — there are numerous complaints from people who own a particular model in this series, claiming there are issues with their display panel. Razer has been pretty good about replacing units for customers who experience this issue, but it’s not an ideal scenario for anyone.

Backlit Keyboard; LAN
Acer’s Predator Helios 300 is a budget-oriented Predator model with great parts at an affordable price. It sports an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB DDR4 memory, and a 15.6-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 display. A laundry list of ports, including HDMI, will ensure you have enough room to plug any accessories or peripherals into the Predator.
The keyboard is said to have quite a bit of flex, taking away from the VivoBook F510UA-AH51’s premium feel. ASUS have fitted the laptop with a 1920 X 1080 IPS NanoEdge display, which has an awesome 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.
ASUS have cut some corners with the storage, opting for a slow 1TB 5400RPM HDD as opposed to an SSD. This is going to make applications and boot times rather slow and tedious sadly, but the other hardware does compensate for this.

The metal design is also built to last longer (unlike plastic) and is up to 75% quieter than the previous generation of AeroBlade 3D Fans.
This is an excellent gaming laptop
At just above $1,000, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is an excellent gaming laptop for the price. The performance of this machine is better than most other laptops in its class, and it’s even a little better than some models that cost quite a bit more.
The technical specifications are impressive: It has an Intel Core i7-9750H processor and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. Compared to other gaming laptops with similar specs, it performs well.
The design of this laptop is good but not great. It has a black plastic chassis with red accents and the Predator logo on the lid. The laptop feels durable and is relatively light-weight at 5 pounds.
Battery life could be better on this thing — while it’s not bad, you probably won’t want to stray too far from a power outlet since you’ll be constantly looking for ways to run down your battery (and give your eyes a break).
All things considered, this model is quite good as it offers many desirable features at an affordable price point. If you’re looking for high performance in a laptop that won’t break the bank, then this Acer Predator Helios 300 model might be right for you
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Great performance and graphics,
- 144 Hz refresh rate display
- comfy keyboard and touchpad
- solid battery life, good software.
Cons:
- Display could be brighter
- speakers could be better
- webcam could be better
Drawbacks
- I’m not a gamer. I use this as my general purpose laptop and use it for everything (coding, browsing, word processing, watching videos). This is a great machine at this price point. If I was only using it for gaming, the graphics card would probably have been overkill but I wanted to make sure that my computer could handle multiple 4k video streams at once without significantly impacting performance.
- I’ve had no issues doing that so far. The cooling fan is loud when the CPU is under load but isn’t too bothersome otherwise. The GPU does get warm but hasn’t melted my skin off yet so there’s that (I keep it on stand so its not touching me).
- Battery life is pretty good too if you can keep the screen brightness down but most people don’t game on battery power anyways. All in all, if you are looking for a decent gaming laptop or something to replace your desktop with then this is the way to go!
- My daughter loves her new laptop!! It works great and came sooner than expected! She loves the design and how fast it works! Would recommend!!
- This laptop holds up well after playing games on high settings
- Large size and weight – easily OK when you want to play games while sitting somewhere comfortable , but not very portable; 2) No separate mouse buttons – takes some getting used to; 3) Keyboard NOT backlit; 4) Only 1 USB 3 port ; 5) Power adapter big & heavy

The processor, RAM and graphics card are more than capable of handling 1080p gaming with a steady frame rate. It also packs a fairly decent audio system which includes two speakers powered by Waves MaxxAudio technology.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3501 is good for gaming and all round performance, however there are some better alternatives when it comes to specific use cases. If you would like to edit photos/videos or render 3D graphics then check out the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (5500). This model has a larger screen size, higher resolution screen and better graphics card without affecting battery life too much.
Things to know about gaming laptops
Gaming laptops, like most electronics and other items, vary greatly in price depending on the specifications. Because of this, you’ll want to know what to look for when it comes to building your gaming laptop.
There are three main types of laptops that you can buy: office type (for the home), business type (for the office), and gaming type. All three types have different processing power, graphics card capabilities, and storage options that allow each laptop to be priced differently but still at similar levels.
For example, a basic office laptop costs around $500 while a business-type laptop costs around $600 and a gaming-type laptop costs around $900. When I was researching my first gaming laptop, I found that there were some good options available for around $700 -$800 so I am happy with my research.
Laptop Accessories
There are a few things you want to keep in mind when looking for accessories:
- Compatibility – Make sure you look at the dimensions of the laptop case and make sure the case matches the size of your laptop.
- Style – Some bags have more pockets than others, so make sure you’re comfortable with how many pouches there are and where they’re located.
- Durability – You don’t want a case that will rip after a few uses. Look for high-quality materials such as leather, microfiber or faux leather.
- Price – You can get a good laptop bag without breaking your bank account!
What materials are used in laptops?
The carbon fiber chassis for the Dell XPS 13 is a work of art. It’s incredibly strong and very light, but also more expensive than aluminum. As with any material, though, it has its drawbacks: carbon fiber doesn’t bend or mold easily, so the laptop can’t be as thin as those that use aluminum unibody designs.
Titanium is another lightweight metal favored by some manufacturers. However, titanium isn’t as durable as other metals like aluminum and magnesium—nor is it better at dissipating heat. While titanium laptops aren’t exactly common these days (looking at you, Sony VAIO SZ), you can buy a laptop that uses both titanium and magnesium in one package (see: Panasonic Toughbook).
Plastic is probably what you’re most familiar with. It’s often used alongside metal to create a laptop chassis that’s both tough and light without costing too much money to manufacture and assemble.
How do I identify an authentic product?
To further assist in the verification process, you can use our product authentication tool, which also provides additional tips and tricks to follow if you suspect that your purchase is not authentic.
- Packaging: Check the overall packaging for signs of tampering or irregularity. True Dell products are packaged with a blue insert and labeled with the correct Dell logo and product name. Compare your purchase to pictures of other verified purchases online to see if there are any differences in appearance or logos. Many counterfeit items will ship directly from China with obvious marks on the packaging indicating its source.
- Product description: Always look over the seller’s product description to make sure it has complete information about all parts (i.e., no generic statements like “Keyboard included”). If something is missing from the description, this should raise suspicion as an authentic product will have detailed specifications listed out completely.
- Authenticity: Check our database of all serial numbers that have been detected as counterfeit by using this tool on our support site (https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN301987). These are serial numbers that have been reported by consumers who purchased their system directly from Dell or one of our authorized resellers but ended up receiving a counterfeit system instead! You can also use your serial number here to check out how many other consumers had purchased from this same exact serial number, potentially saving yourself from buying a previously reported fraudulent system!
- Serial Number: Ensure that you are able to locate and check your serial code on your laptop even before purchasing it! It should be located underneath your keyboard when opened up or on its own sticker somewhere else on the inside frame behind where it opens up—directly under where you would open it up at least! The location will vary per computer but is easy enough to find by looking through some YouTube videos if needed! If there isn’t one present or they tell you they don’t know where their sticker is
What features should I look for?
When considering a laptop, there are many important features to consider: its processor, RAM, storage, graphics, display and battery life. You should also consider its sound quality, build quality and portability. Above all else though is price. It’s essential that you get the most bang for your buck.
What it boils down to is finding a balance between those factors. For example, you could get a cheap laptop that’s super portable but has terrible sound quality and a poor display. Or you can get that top-of-the-line gaming rig with an incredible display but has terrible battery life and isn’t very portable at all!
There are game-specific laptops and regular laptops.
In the world of laptops, there are two types: game-specific laptops and regular ones. Game-specific laptops are heavy, expensive, and not very portable—but they look cool! They also have exclusive access to games that regular laptops don’t. Regular laptops are more affordable and lightweight, with similar performance capabilities when it comes to gaming as their more expensive counterparts.
Is it okay to use a laptop for gaming?
Are you wondering whether or not a laptop will work for gaming? The short answer is yes. A laptop can be a great choice for gaming—but there’s more to it than that. For starters, it’s important to know that laptops designed and marketed specifically for gaming are generally higher priced and offer specific features, such as powerful processors, graphics cards, and other features that enhance your experience.
Gaming laptops tend to have higher price tags (which isn’t surprising considering the added features), but they also often have poor battery life and poor upgradability—in which case you may be better off opting for an alternative.
Of course, not all gamers need high specs—there are people who play casual games and prefer less expensive computers with fewer bells and whistles. But if you’re into high-end graphics or hardcore gaming, a dedicated computer is probably the best bet.
Gaming laptops are amazing.
Gaming laptops are known for their excellent design and amazing display. They are also perfect for topnotch multitasking. The Dell Inspiron 15 3501, 15.6 inch FHD Non-Touch Laptop – Intel Core i7-1165G7, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, Windows 10 Home – Accent Black is one of the most powerful and reliable gaming laptops on the market today. With its fast processor and powerful graphics card, this laptop can handle any game you throw at it.
This laptop is great for not only gaming but also work or school projects. The sleek design makes it easy to travel with so you can game on the go!
The Dell Inspiron 15 3501 has a battery life that lasts longer than other similar models so you don’t have to worry about losing power while playing your favorite games! Plus its cooling system ensures that even if you’re playing games all day long there won’t be any overheating issues either making sure this machine stays cool under pressure just like a professional gamer deserves
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- The Dell Inspiron 15 3501 (3501) is a great laptop for everyday use, and it should also be able to handle some games as well. The overall performance is good.
- The 512GB SSD provides fast storage that should be enough for most people. If you want more storage, there is an open M.2 Slot available that you can upgrade later on.
- The keyboard and touchpad are comfortable, and they have a good amount of key travel (1.5mm), which I prefer over shallow keyboards with little to no key travel offered by some other brands like Apple’s MacBooks or Microsoft’s Surface Laptops.
- The Ram is upgradeable which means you can replace the DDR4 4GB memory module with another 8/16GB module for 16/32GB total memory capacity if your workload requires more RAM in the future!
- The battery life of about 5 hours with medium brightness in a typical productivity scenario is pretty good considering this laptop has excellent performance compared to other laptops at similar prices so we would expect longer running times from them as well! This will last all day without recharging unless you’re playing games on it constantly while traveling around town without charging stations nearby (like at Starbucks).
Drawbacks
Still on the fence? We’ll do our best to sway you. If you like to watch DVDs, this model doesn’t have an optical drive. You won’t find a USB Type-C port here either, so if that’s something you want in a laptop, this isn’t for you. Also lacking are a webcam (for video calls), backlit keyboard (backlighting illuminates the keys for more convenient typing in dark environments), ethernet port (for connecting to wired networks), card reader (for quickly uploading files from digital cameras and other devices that use flash memory cards), fingerprint reader (to sign in with a touch instead of entering your password) and touch screen capabilities.
And while we love its speedy performance, the battery life isn’t great. The Inspiron 15 3501 is not a good choice if gaming is on your list of must-haves too.
10. MacBook Air
Series | 5RE92LL/A |
Brand | Apple |

CPU Manufacturer | Intel |
If you are looking for a laptop that is easy to carry and powerful, the MacBook Air is a great choice. It has a relatively small display of 13 inches which makes it lighter and easier to carry than most computers. However, the screen-size does not compromise its performance as it can easily be used for your everyday tasks such as watching videos, working with documents or surfing the web.
Some people have also been able to use this computer for more demanding tasks like gaming if they don’t mind playing at lower resolutions and settings while others prefer using them as their main computer because they are more expensive than other similar laptops available in markets which may not suit everyone’s budget.

13.3” Retina Display with 2560×1600 resolution
As we’re here more than anywhere else, there was one serious consideration I needed to make when it came to choosing a computer: portability. In my mind, the laptop had to be powerful enough for everything I needed—corporate work and heavy-duty tasks like programming and gaming—without being so massive that it weighed me down. The one that immediately jumped to mind was the 2013 MacBook Air from Apple. Its compact size didn’t just feel worlds better than any PC I’d ever used; it also offered far more functionality in a single package.
I asked my sister who was in college at the time if she knew how many pounds the Air weighed. She told me it was barely two pounds (which is only slightly heavier than an iPad mini). So at that point, I knew whether or not this computer would be right for me literally before I picked up the box.
two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, one headphone jack
The MacBook Air has two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, and one headphone jack. The Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports are used for charging and connecting to other devices. For example, you can connect an external hard drive to the MacBook Air’s Thunderbolt/USB 4 port. Drawbacks
While I can’t speak at all to the experience of PC users, it seems that Apple has made some pretty big compromises when catering to Mac users. For one thing, there is no SD card slot or HDMI port. If you want to watch a 4K movie on your TV, you’ll need an adapter.
And then there’s the whole Ethernet thing: a lot of the MacBooks don’t have that port anymore. You could always go with Wi-Fi, but sometimes it just isn’t fast enough (compared to a wired connection), especially in a place where bandwidth is being shared by multiple devices.
Now, none of these things are hard-and-fast dealbreakers. With the right adapter and wireless router (or network switch), I was able to connect my MacBook Pro to my home internet without issue. And since I already had an Amazon Fire Stick from an old TV set, I was able to watch movies on my new flat screen without buying another dongle for HDMI.
But those workarounds don’t come free or cheap—especially when you consider what other machines offer for less money than this one does. A similarly priced laptop with Windows 10 will have most of these ports built-in; many will even come with fingerprint readers integrated into them (this one doesn’t).
