For artists and engineers that need a laptop for CAD, 3D modeling, or rendering, it’s important to know what features are most important to consider. We’ve put together a list of the best laptops for rendering that have the processing power and memory necessary to handle this type of work. Rendering can be very intensive on computers, so having at least 16 GB of RAM is recommended. While RAM is an important part of a computer for rendering, we also recommend getting a good graphics card as well. While there are some programs that utilize CPU rendering, GPU rendering is typically much faster, so it will improve your workflow as well. This is especially true if you are going to be working with large models and/or high resolutions.
