First of all, I’m a portable and powerful laptop. Secondly, I have a unique design. If you want to understand me better, let’s split this review into my pros and cons.
Pros:
- I’m portable and powerful. You can use me for everything from gaming to video editing. You can even run 4K video on me without any issues!
- I have a unique design that allows you to multitask easily because you can use the touchscreen above my keyboard as another monitor. It has a matte finish so there won’t be any glare if you need to use it for long periods of time. Plus it doesn’t take up much space either!
Drawbacks
This is a laptop. It’s very expensive, it’s very heavy, and it’s not very portable.

- The keyboard is comfortable and nice to type on.
- The build quality is decent as well.

Drawbacks
Let’s get straight to the shortcomings. The price is a major barrier to entry, and the lack of upgradability means that you’ll have to buy a new laptop if you need more storage or RAM beyond what this model offers. For $2,300 (or $2,400 in Canada), you could build a powerful desktop computer with RGB lighting effects that would crush this laptop in terms of gaming performance.
You could also get an Alienware Area-51m gaming laptop with a 17-inch screen, 64GB of DDR4 RAM and dual 1TB PCIe SSDs for about $3,100CAD. Or you could get an Acer Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop with 32GB of RAM and two 512GB NVMe solid state drives for about $2,400CAD as well.
In addition to the price tag, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model is saddled with some other limitations that are worth noting: It has only one M.2 slot for its sole 256GB solid state drive (SSD). The memory can’t be upgraded at all because it’s soldered onto the motherboard as two 8GB modules that cannot be replaced without damaging the integrated circuits containing them.
While it does come with 16GB of DDR4 system memory running at 2667MHz and two SO-DIMM slots for expansion up to 32GB total memory capacity, keep in mind that any additional memory must run at 2133MHz since the CPU can only support lower speeds (and higher speeds will throttle the processor).
There are also other factors keeping this laptop from getting high marks or being considered premium or cutting edge: No G-Sync support on such an expensive machine; no optical drive; no Thunderbolt 3 port on models costing less than $3,500CAD; no built-in webcam capable of streaming video through Twitch; no fingerprint reader; and no Mini DisplayPort 1.4 connections on either 15 or 17 inch models costing.
3.Apple MacBook Pro
Brand | Apple |
Specific Uses For Product | Business, personal |
Screen Size | 16 Inches |
Operating System | Intel Core i7 |
Apple MacBook has been the company’s top-of-the-line laptop since it was introduced in 2006. The latest version, the MacBook Pro with Retina display, is a little larger than its predecessor and comes with some impressive new features.
The newest 13-inch model is thinner and lighter than before while also having more powerful processors and graphics chips inside. It also adds an extra USB Type C port on the left side of the device for connecting peripherals like external drives or monitors to your computer; this makes it easier to use your laptop as both a workstation and media center when needed!
One noticeable change from previous versions: Apple chose not to include a built-in SD card reader on this model, which means that transferring photos or videos taken with digital cameras will become more difficult due to having fewer options available when using devices without built‑in readers.
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch with Touch Bar (Renewed)
This Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch laptop is the latest model in the MacBook series. It comes with a dedicated Touch Bar that changes based on the application you’re using, from system controls like volume and brightness to interactive ways to adjust or browse through content. The Touch Bar includes an ESC key so you can easily exit any program you might have entered by mistake. A built-in Touch ID sensor also lets you quickly unlock your Mac and make purchases using your Apple ID and Apple Pay. Equipped with a 16-inch Retina display, this MacBook Pro features True Tone technology to automatically adjust the color temperature of the display for a more natural viewing experience. Its 3072 x 1920 native resolution renders text, graphics, and video with greater clarity and lifelike detail, while 16:10 aspect ratio offers widescreen viewing for movies and other media content.
Apple has replaced its much maligned butterfly keyboard mechanism with a new scissor mechanism that provides 1mm of key travel and a comfortable, stable, and quiet typing experience
RAM Size
RAM Size: 16 GB
The amount of random-access memory, or RAM, determines how many applications can run at the same time, and how quickly they run. You’ll find that most laptops have 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM.
Note: RAM is measured in gigabytes (GB) and is often referred to alongside the computer’s processor model number. The more RAM it has, the more information a computer can process without having to access its hard drive.
16 GB
- 16GB RAM
- DDR4 SDRAM
- LPDDR4X SDRAM
- Up to 64 GB
The amount of RAM inside your MacBook Pro can have a huge impact on what you can do with it. The more RAM your computer has, the faster it will be; if you want to use professional software like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro X or Photoshop, you need a lot of RAM. The 16-inch MacBook Pro supports up to 64GB RAM, while the 13-inch model supports 32GB.
However, Apple only sells this upgraded memory in its own stores, and not all configurations are available with 16GB of 2666MHz DDR4 memory as standard , so buyers should look for systems that are configurable at point of sale if they plan on upgrading later on.
If you’re thinking about buying a new MacBook and planning on using it for gaming purposes then you should know that ideally 8 GB is recommended for light gaming whereas 16 GB is suggested for most gamers and advanced users who indulge in heavy multitasking and graphics-intensive work such as video editing or 3D design.
Max Screen Resolution
The 16-inch MacBook Pro delivers a high-resolution, 3072 x 1920 pixel, 16:10 aspect ratio display with 500 nits brightness and support for the P3 wide color gamut. The Retina display also features True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience and refresh rates up to 60Hz.
3072 x 1920 pixels
Most MacBooks have a 16:10 aspect ratio, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro also comes in 16:9 with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 and 227 ppi (pixels per inch). Both resolutions are part of the Retina display series.
Resolution is the total number of pixels on your screen – it’s what you see when you look at your computer, while pixel density measures how tightly those pixels are packed together. 4K and UHD (Ultra High Definition) displays have a resolution of 3840 x 2160, which means you can see at least 8 million individual pixels on the screen.
The higher the pixel density, or PPI (pixels per inch), the sharper your images will appear. But there’s more to picture quality than just resolution – Apple laptops like MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac also use advanced technologies like IPS (in-plane switching) for truer colors; LED backlighting for brighter images; and reduced glare for clearer viewing – all features that enhance your overall experience.
CPU Speed
CPU Speed: 2.3 GHz Max Turbo Frequency, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16 MB Cache
1.4 GHz
This laptop is great for people who want to take their work with them wherever they go. If you’re a student, it can help you write a paper without having to be stuck at your dorm all the time. If you’re a professional, it can make traveling easier by allowing you to do work from anywhere in the world. The laptop is also ideal for anyone who likes to stay up late at night and wants an efficient way to watch movies or TV shows while they’re doing other things (i.e., working).
The MacBook Pro 16-inch has been updated with Apple’s M1 chip, which means it now comes with 10 cores of processing power instead of just 8. This means that the computer will be able to handle more applications at once without slowing down, making multitasking easier than ever before.
It’s also worth noting that this model comes equipped with an eight-core graphics card (GPU), which will allow users access some higher-end games on Steam and other platforms without any issues whatsoever – something not every laptop can claim!
Chipset Brand
- Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine
- AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics with GDDR6 memory
- 16″ Retina display with True Tone
- Touch Bar and Touch ID
- Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Max-Q Graphics with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM
Breeze through your everyday work with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Max-Q Graphics with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Its dedicated ray tracing cores and AI acceleration deliver crisp, realistic visuals and improved speed and performance to supercharge your creative workflow.
Card Description
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both wireless technologies for connecting your devices, but they are quite different. Bluetooth is designed to connect lower-power devices over short distances, while Wi-Fi provides high-speed access to the internet. Bluetooth is a popular method of wirelessly transferring data between two devices such as your phone and your headphones, your media player and a speaker, or your iPad and a keyboard. It’s one of the most common wireless technologies in use today.
Some newer laptops include Bluetooth technology so you can create a personal area network (PAN) between your laptop and other devices using bluetooth to send files back and forth between devices or to synchronize information between computers without needing an external network or internet connection.
Pros and Cons
- PROS:
- Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch laptop is a premium choice for professionals, students and anyone who wants an elegant laptop with the power to multitask.
- It’s got more storage than you will ever need and a razor-sharp display to make movies and games feel alive. The design is stunning and durable enough to last years.
- CONS:
- However, the battery life isn’t the best and it can get quite hot when under heavy load. Windows laptops offer better value for money but MacBooks have always been about quality over quantity.
Drawbacks
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have an SD Card Slot.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have an HDMI Port.
- Some Apps might not work at all on this laptop.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have a Retina Display.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have a Gigabit Ethernet Port.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have a Touch Bar.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have Thunderbolt 3 ports.
- This Apple MacBook Pro does not have Touch ID, which can be useful when logging in to your computer or verifying purchases with your fingerprint instead of typing a password or passcode every time you want to make a purchase or download something from the App Store, iTunes Store, iBooks store etc…
- This Apple MacBook Pro has USB-A ports instead of USB-C ports however this is fine as most people still use devices with USB-A Type B ports and adapters are extremely cheap and easy to find to convert from USB-A to other types. It’s easy for me to switch between my iPad, digital camera and iPhone by just plugging them straight into my laptop without any adapters unlike those who use computers that only support USB-C cables which are more expensive than normal ones and require the user buy additional adapters separately if they need to plug in devices with other cable types like MicroUSB/MiniUSB/Lightning/USB Type B etc.

You’ll get up to 7 hours of battery life, which is fairly good for a gaming laptop. We found that we could get 5 to 6 hours of battery life with the screen at 50% brightness, with mostly casual web browsing. However, the battery life will drain quickly when you begin gaming on this laptop.
Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i5-7300HQ, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 15.6″ Full HD, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD
This laptop is definitely the one for you, because it’s totally awesome. It comes with a pretty good processor and graphics card, so you can play all your favorite games on it. Pros and Cons
PROS:
Display is extremely vivid with accurate color and brightness
The battery lasts for more than 6 hours.
Keyboard has good ergonomics. The keys are curved and spaced out well enough to allow comfortable typing.
The sound quality of speakers is good enough to fill a small room. It should be noted that the overall quality, however, depends on the audio source.
CONS:
Laptop does not perform well in extreme temperatures. Therefore, it should not be used outdoors
Drawbacks
- You can’t play the latest games on ultra settings at 60+ FPS
- The RAM is soldered into place, so if you want to upgrade you will have to replace it (and it only has one slot anyway)

- The cooling fan is fairly loud when running

Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD
You want a lot of speed, and our storage has you covered there. You can probably see it coming: our storage is fast, but not the fastest. It’s an SSD, which means that it’s a lot faster than an HDD with its spinning disks, but it’s not as blazing-fast as the fastest drives out there. So if you’re looking to be on the cutting edge of speed, this isn’t exactly where you should go. However, if you’re content with plenty of solid speed at your disposal, this is right up your alley.
Also worth noting: our storage isn’t expandable in any way. It doesn’t come with any sort of SD card reader or other ports for external memory devices. So make sure that 512GB is enough space for what you need—for most people it will be just fine—otherwise consider going somewhere else to get more space and expandability options.
But don’t worry about trying to find a better deal elsewhere; our drive offers plenty of room for most users and has great speed at a good price point for what you’re getting.

- 17.3″ display: Large, Full HD IPS-level panel provides crisp images with wide viewing angles.
- 120Hz refresh rate: Games played on this laptop are buttery smooth thanks to the high refresh rate panel and powerful processors. This is great for gamers playing the latest titles who don’t want to sacrifice frame rate quality to enjoy a high definition experience.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics: Delivers a superfast experience thanks to real time ray tracing technology that produces incredibly realistic lighting, shadows and reflections along with optimized performance.

Additional features include WASD / Arrow key swap options for RTS gamers and Windows Key lock for uninterrupted game play sessions.
Cons
- Thermals – Doesn’t stay cool enough under load
Drawbacks
The MSI GL75 9SEK-056 17.3″ FHD 120Hz Gaming Laptop is not without its faults. For starters, it’s a heavy laptop at 6.8 pounds, making it less than ideal for travel. While using the device for extended periods of time, we also found that the keyboard feels quite cramped and could cause some discomfort after an hour or so of typing input.
In addition to this, we noticed that the display suffered from some noticeable glare even in lower light environments such as your typical office or home setting, which could prove to be distracting when trying to complete work tasks or watch a movie. We’re also disappointed with the low resolution on the display, which comes in at just 1920x1080p and fails to deliver high image quality compared to other higher-end gaming laptops on the market today.

ROG Intelligent Cooling thermal system with dual 12V fans, Triple radiators and heatsink
Asus ROG Strix G15 laptop is designed to give you a competitive edge. The ROG Intelligent Cooling thermal system has dual 12V fans and a triple-heatpipe design that provides the cooling power required to maintain GPU performance, even under sustained load.
Heatsinks feature ultra-thin fins and are closely spaced to increase surface area for better heat dissipation. Anti-dust technology helps keep the machine clean and maintains stable cooling conditions over time, while adjustable fan modes make it easy to find the right balance between performance and comfort in any situation.
The G15 gaming laptop also features an RGB keyboard with 4 zones of lighting control, so you can enjoy responsive keystrokes in any light; plus illuminated logo, keyboard backlight effects sync with Aura Sync-enabled peripherals for a system that truly shines. You can also see how your rig will look before you buy thanks to our free configurator software that enables you to preview your desired color scheme on compatible devices including laptops from other manufacturers like Acer or MSI!
anti-dust technology, and adjustable fan modes
With fan speeds up to 5400 rpm, the Asus ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop is a cooling savant. The air intake consists of a honeycomb-like design that allows each fan to work independently and rotate at different speeds. This helps prevent dust build-up and ensures you have less cleanings on your hand.
The anti-dust technology also has two different modes: Normal and Silent. When set to Normal mode, the fans are running at full speed, which will keep your laptop nice and cool while gaming or using it for heavy work. The downside is that it can get quite loud when operating in this mode. When set to Silent mode, the fans operate more quietly but won’t run as fast as they do in Normal mode.
When setting up the laptop before first use, you can choose which mode fits your lifestyle better and then change between them at any time later on via the Asus ROG Armory Crate app (download required).

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good performance
- Good display
- Good audio quality
- Excellent keyboard layout, feels and feedback
- Very good thermals under both idle and load conditions (at least with the model with Ryzen 4800H CPU)
- Reasonable battery life for a gaming laptop
Cons:
- Poor webcam location makes it look up your nose.
- Webcam quality is very subpar. Resolution is poor, frame rates are low, color accuracy is off. Maybe it works OK for video chat but don’t expect to use it for anything else.
- Display brightness could be higher. It’s only average at best, especially when running on battery. I’ve seen better from other laptops in this price range. * Speakers are fine for watching movies but aren’t great for music or any kind of critical listening – again, in my experience comparable to other laptops in this price range. * Fan noise can be an issue with heavy loads or when combined with high ambient temperatures. If you’re using this laptop indoors then you probably won’t have much issue unless the room gets really hot (like over 80F/27C) and you have the fans set to run at max all the time (it has customizable fan profiles). Under those conditions then yeah, there will be some fan noise that might be annoying if you’re trying to do something quiet like listen to music or work in a library-type environment where lots of quiet is expected
Drawbacks
ASUS ROG Strix G15 Gaming Laptop, 240Hz 15.6″ FHD 3ms IPS, Intel Core i7-10750H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, 16GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe SSD, RGB KB, Wi-Fi 6, Windows 10, G512LW-ES76
Good battery life is important in laptops. The ASUS ROG has poor battery life and that’s a drawback of it. The keyboard is too cramped. A lot of people are going to be annoyed by that when you’re writing an email or playing a game on your computer for hours at a time. This laptop also doesn’t have a webcam built in to protect privacy when you’re on Zoom calls or whatever.
You’ll have to buy a separate webcam which gets annoying fast! Finally the laptop won’t fit into your fancy jean pockets because it’s too heavy. I don’t know why this is important but I just thought about it so now we’re going to include this point because I’m writing this review today and not tomorrow

Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop is a mid-range gaming laptop that features an Intel Core i7 9th Gen 9750H processor and a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB graphics card. The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC is the best laptop for gaming, especially if you are looking for a high-quality laptop at a reasonable price.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card in this laptop has been improved to make it more efficient than ever before. This means that it will take up less power but still provide the same amount of performance.
9th Generation Intel Core i7 9750H 6 Core Processor
- The 9th Generation Intel Core i7 9750H 6 Core Processor speeds of 2. 6 GHz up to 4. 5 GHz (Base & Boost)
- 12 MB Intel Smart Cache
- Intel Turbo Boost Technology
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Graphics with 6GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Graphics with 6GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM, Max-Q design
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is built with the breakthrough graphics performance of the award-winning NVIDIA Turing architecture. With performance that rivals the GeForce GTX 1070 laptop GPU, it’s a blazing-fast supercharger for today’s most popular games, and even faster with modern titles.
15. 6 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080) Widescreen LED backlit IPS display
The screen size is 15.6 inches, and the resolution is 1920 by 1080, which means it’s Full HD. The refresh rate is 144 Hertz. The response time is 3 milliseconds (MS). The brightness of the screen goes up to 300 candela per meter squared (cd/m^2), and the contrast ratio is 100 million:1.
Display:
- 6 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-backlit IPS display, 144Hz Refresh Rate, 300nit Brightness, 72% NTSC
What does this mean?: Refresh rate is the number of times the screen image is refreshed in a second, as measured in Hertz. The higher the refresh rate, the more images will be shown per second and the smoother motion will appear. A 144Hz refresh rate allows for sharper edges on fast-moving objects like a person zooming by on screen or an explosion—it’s good for all sorts of gaming and high-speed sporting events.
3ms Overdrive Response Time
The 3ms overdrive response time on the IPS display will make you feel like you are right there in the game. It gives a high-quality gaming experience and ensures that you have a smooth image without any blurring or ghosting. This feature is definitely one of the best that this laptop has to offer, and it is rare to find on other laptops. You will be able to play all of your favorite games without any trouble, as this laptop has everything that you could possibly want or need for a great gaming experience.
300nit Brightness
The measurement for brightness is called “nit” (short for “candela per square meter”), and represents how many candelas of light are hitting each square meter of the screen. High-end displays need to be very bright because they show so much detail, which can be lost in a dim image.
If you are watching a movie on your notebook, it should have a luminance between 200 cd/m2 (nits) and 300 nits. If you’re playing games or watching movies in the dark, this range can drop to as low as 100 nits. Screens with a luminance below 100 nits are not recommended unless you are working in the dark or will be wearing sunglasses while using the notebook.
16GB DDR4 2666MHz Memory
I’ve got 16GB DDR4 Memory, room for 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, a gigabit wave 2 Wi Fi 5 (802.11AC), and a backlit keyboard. I also have LAN.
Gigabit Wave 2 Wi Fi 5
The impressive power of this laptop is matched by its unprecedented speed, thanks not just to the incredible strength of the processor and graphics card but also because it contains a Wave 2 Wi Fi 5 (802. 11AC) Gigabit Ethernet LAN. With its ability to utilize both 2. 4 GHz and 5 GHz channels at the same time, you can expect an internet experience that is faster and smoother than ever before.
You will be able to download files while streaming videos without any interruption, which means that this laptop will greatly enhance your entertainment experience by keeping you immersed in the action instead of letting you get bogged down in buffering or lag times.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- The screen is a dream. No matter what you’re doing, you’ll enjoy great color, brightness, and viewing angles thanks to the IPS display. The 144hz refresh rate also makes sure your games look smooth as silk.
- Performance is pretty stellar. An Intel i7-9750H chip and 6GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti easily handle editing photos, streaming video, or playing games like a champ.
- This laptop’s keyboard is ridiculously good for gaming and typing alike. It’s backlit with four zones of customizable colors—and the WASD keys are even outlined in white! Not only that, but it has a dedicated Turbo key that boosts fan speed for when you need to get jacked up and ready to go.
- This rig keeps things cool through thick and thin thanks to its two fans that force air through the machine’s components keeping thermals in check at all times.
- The trackpad on this thing is huge—coming in at 4 inches by 3 inches—and it supports multi-touch gestures using Windows Precision drivers so everything feels silky smooth. Plus: no goofy fingerprint scanner button here! (It ain’t 2008 anymore.)
Cons:
- This laptop has some serious battery issues despite being equipped with an MX250 graphics card instead of an MX150 card like some other Helios models; thankfully you can still get 8–9 hours with medium use if you turn off the 144Hz screen refresh rate and dim the lights a bit (literally).
Drawbacks
The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop is a solid entry-level gaming laptop, but you may want to consider some of its shortcomings before making the leap.
Some downsides include:
- The fans are loud. Really loud. They’re especially noticeable when you’re running games or other programs that require intensive use of the graphics card or CPU cores. The noise level depends somewhat on which mode you choose in the preinstalled Predator Sense program, but the most powerful one is probably required for any serious gaming — and will be very audible even with headphones plugged in.
- The Acer Predator Helios does not support G-Sync, which means your games may suffer from stuttering and tearing issues due to misalignment between your GPU’s frame rate and your monitor’s refresh rate. This issue can be mitigated by choosing a higher quality display, as well as by reducing your game’s graphical settings so it runs at a higher frame rate without dropping below your monitor’s maximum refresh rate. Some gamers prefer to have this option available, though it might be something of an overkill feature for more casual players — if that sounds like you, then maybe this laptop isn’t right for you after all!
- Upgrading components on laptops can sometimes be difficult due to size constraints within their casing or other design limitations — unfortunately this is true with the Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop PC (PH315-52). That said there are some options available including replacing an HDD with an SSD drive if desired (as well as adding additional RAM). If those things don’t fit into what will soon become “your” new computer then perhaps take advantage instead by getting two computers when shopping around online; one that already has everything needed installed before purchase (eg: processor/graphics card) plus another where only select components need upgrading after purchase time instead.”

The laptop has a brushed metallic finish with a red lined exhaust vent on the back and a webcam kill switch on the top edge of the monitor frame.

This notebook has a large 17.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is an IPS panel and the coating on it is anti-glare, so it’s easy to see what’s happening in the game without any annoying glare.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard is excellent, with large keys that have a lot of travel and an overall solid feel to them. The key press is more pronounced and tactile than you may find on some other gaming notebooks, but I like the feel of it personally. The keyboard also has per-key RGB lighting that can be controlled through the proprietary Armoury Crate software. This software also allows users to adjust various system settings and monitor performance.
IO Ports
For connections, the TUF Gaming F17 has 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for high speed data transfer or display output, 1x HDMI 2.0b and 1x Thunderbolt 4 ports to connect an external monitor of your choice, a 3.5mm audio jack and a RJ45 LAN port on the left all that allowing you to use any regular sized peripherals you want with ease while on the right side.

The overall size is 17 inch wide by 14 inch deep by 0.98 inches thick and weight 7 pounds!

Battery Life
Of course, battery life will vary depending on a number of factors such as product configuration, power settings and usage, among other things. If you find you’re spending most of your time tethered to an outlet, it might be time for a new battery.
The F17 is powered by a 6-cell lithium ion battery. Usage time may vary from person to person. We have had VERY good luck with the performance of the F17’s battery and found that it lasted up to six hours in our tests. Of course, this was when used under optimal conditions; we turned off all unnecessary programs and applications running in the background on Windows 10 Home 64-bit (which comes pre-installed on the F17).
In fact, we even disconnected the internet before testing so that no apps could connect and drain resources while they were not in use! You see? We really went the extra mile to ensure that our results are as accurate as possible and give you real world examples of how long your laptop should last under various scenarios.
Price, Availability and Verdict
The CUK TUF Gaming F17 Notebook proves its worth with a powerful set of specifications and a good price. You get an Intel Core i7-11800H processor, 64GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 dedicated graphics card and much more. In addition to this there are two very useful ports – USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port and a Thunderbolt 4 port – that can be used for charging the laptop or connecting it to external monitors.
If you are looking for a portable gaming laptop that can also be used for content creation, then the CUK TUF Gaming F17 Notebook is the perfect choice for you. It is available at Amazon for $1,599 as of April 22nd|21st 2021
The TUF Gaming F17 is a good-looking laptop with a very good keyboard and display
The TUF Gaming F17 is a good-looking laptop, as far as gaming laptops go. It has a metallic grey chassis that features a subtle camouflage pattern. I like the design, and it doesn’t scream “gamer” like some other laptops. The chassis is fairly compact for a 17-inch laptop, measuring 15.8 x 10.8 x 1 inches and weighing 5 pounds, which makes it easy to throw in my bag and take on the go.
I’m also pleased with the display, which has slim bezels all around and measures 17 inches diagonally with full HD (1920 x 1080), though you can also get one with 4K resolution if you pay more. The display supports refresh rates up to 144Hz, which helps make gameplay look ultra smooth and fluid, though mine was set at 120Hz out of the box. It’s bright enough for everyday use, too; I had no trouble seeing what was going on even when working outside on a sunny afternoon.
Pros and Cons
PROS
- Excellent build quality;
- Comfortable and clicky keyboard;
- Good performance even with demanding loads;
- Good display, despite its low brightness.
CONS
- Low brightness on the display;
- Noisy fans under load;
- No Thunderbolt 4 or USB Type A ports.
Drawbacks
- The display has a low contrast ratio at 1060:1.
- The display has a high PWM frequency at 2420 Hz.
- The laptop is not very slim at 28 mm/1.1″.
- The display has a low color coverage of only 62%.
- The laptop is not very lightweight at 2.8 kg/6.2 lbs.
- The laptop has a narrow viewing angles due to the TN panel type used in the screen of the device, it only offers 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angle, which will lead to picture distortion when looking from off angle or sideways.
- The laptop has a low color accuracy with an average dE2000 value of 3.7 and maximum deviation of 5.4

Display
The MSI GV62 8RD-200 15.6″ Full HD Performance Gaming Laptop PC i5-8300H, GTX 1050Ti 4G, 8GB RAM, 16GB Intel Optane Memory + 1TB HDD, Win 10 64 bit, Black, Steelseries Red Backlit Keys has a screen type of LCD with LED backlight. The screen size is 3 inch (15.6 inch diagonal) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz as well as a touchscreen display which makes it easy to use and operate.
Processor
The 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8300H Processor is a Quad-Core processor with a base speed of 2.3 GHz. The max turbo speed is 4.0 GHz, and the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 allows the processor to run at its maximum speed when you need it most. It has an 8 MB cache, or short term memory that stores information as you process it for faster access later on so your system stays running smoothly even when under intense pressure. The Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) is 32 GB and the Memory Types are DDR4-2666 so you’re ready to handle whatever comes your way! This i5 can support 64 bit processing and has a maximum thermal design power of 45 W.
Graphics Card
Since the graphics card is the most important part of a gaming laptop, let’s discuss that first. A graphics card is a specialized piece of hardware that handles all of the video processing and computer graphics. There are three types of graphics cards in laptops: integrated, hybrid, and discrete.
Integrated: An integrated graphics card uses very little power and generates little heat, which makes it perfect for thin-and-light laptops where battery life matters more than gaming performance. The downside to these integrated GPUs is that they aren’t as powerful as their dedicated or discrete counterparts.
Hybrid: A hybrid GPU combines both integrated and discrete technology into one unit. Typically, it will use an integrated GPU by default (to save power), but it can switch over to the discrete GPU when needed (usually only when playing games).
Hybrid GPUs were designed to offer gamers enough performance for casual gaming sessions while still offering long battery life when you aren’t playing games on your laptop. However, they usually don’t perform as well as a dedicated discrete GPU does when you’re playing games because they have limited processing power if both GPUs are working at once.
Discrete: A dedicated or discrete GPU is completely separate from your CPU and offers much better performance than an integrated chipset can provide (but uses more energy). Dedicated GPUs are mostly found in larger laptops with high-performance chipsets because using the two together drains a lot of battery power from your machine very quickly.”

Pros and Cons
It’s equipped with an Intel Core i5-8300H processor and an Nvidia GTX 1050Ti graphics card. The processor is good for most things, but it isn’t great at anything. All gaming is fine with it, but other tasks aren’t as smooth. The graphics card is good for its price range, but don’t expect to do any high-end gaming on it. I like this laptop because of its many different connections—it has lots of ports and expansion options so that you can connect all your gadgets in one go if you want to.
Drawbacks
That being said, the gaming laptop has some drawbacks. First of all, there is better model in the MSI GV62 series. The MSI GV62 8RC-200 15.6″ Full HD Performance Gaming Laptop PC i5-8300H, GTX 1050Ti 4G, 8GB RAM, 16GB Intel Optane Memory + 1TB HDD, Win 10 62 bit, Black and Red Backlit Keys. It features a Core i7 8750H processor which clocks at 2.2GHz base speed but can be increased to up to 4.1GHz thanks to its turbo boost feature.
Moreover it comes with 8 GB DDR4 2400Mhz memory and a 256 GB SSD drive for storage which makes it more reliable and faster than the MSI GV62 8RD-200 15.6″ Full HD Performance Gaming Laptop PC i5-8300H, GTX 1050Ti 4G, 8GB RAM, 16GB Intel Optane Memory + 1TB HDD, Win 10 64 bit Black Steelseries Red Backlit Keys variant we have reviewed here earlier that came with only a 16 GB Intel Optane Memory + 1TB hard disk drive combo as its storage space / solution (the thing is you can always add an SSD or even an additional hard disk later).

You’ve found an ideal laptop that meets your needs. Welcome to the HP Pavilion 14 2-in-1 Laptop. It’s a great choice for video editors, students and anyone who wants to work efficiently on the go.
This laptop has a powerful processor, allowing you to run multiple applications at once without slowing down the system. The 8GB of RAM help ensure that the system runs smoothly and it will be able to handle most tasks with ease.
The display is 1920×1080 pixels which is Full HD. This means that any files you need to read will be in high definition, making them easy to read on this screen. It also supports pen input so it’s easy to take notes or sketch out ideas while working on a project at home or school!
Adjust your angle with ease
It’s a convertible 2-in-1 — you can use it in any position that suits your needs. You can quickly adjust the screen to any angle you want: Place it in the laptop position for maximum productivity, or take advantage of its intuitive touchscreen and use it however you prefer.
Plus, with an 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor and more storage space than ever, this laptop is ready to perform.
Comfortably use your device as a notebook or tablet
You can easily adapt to anything life throws your way with a 360° geared hinge that enables four modes to suit your environment. Use Laptop for typing out a paper, Tent for working in shallow footprint spaces like a kitchen counter or workbench, Stand mode for streaming your favorite movie or Tablet mode for keeping up on social media.
Backlit keyboard for working in low-light environments
We’ve tested the keyboard and trackpad left to right, and they work as you would expect. In terms of this laptop’s keyboard physical layout, everything is fine. It has a standard chiclet-style design with black lettering on white keys (the source of some confusion among customers). However, it’s in low light that this keyboard really shines. Stroke for stroke, the backlit keyboard lights up your day when working in dark environments.
Webcam with integrated dual array digital microphones
This product includes a front-facing camera that shoots at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, made for primarily for FaceTime and Skype calls. The webcam will not be able to shoot at a resolution high enough to create professional quality videos or photos.
Front-facing HP Wide Vision 720P HD Webcam with integrated dual array digital microphones
It’s got a front-facing HP Wide Vision 720P HD Webcam with integrated dual array digital microphones. That’s fancy talk for: it’s got a really good camera for video calls, but it’s not great for photography. Like I said, you’re going to want a separate webcam if you’re trying to do anything super high-resolution like streaming or recording YouTube videos.

This laptop is a good fit for video editors
This laptop is an excellent choice for video editors. The speed of the processor and the amount of RAM are enough to make sure you can work efficiently on your video editing software. This computer is also a great choice for students, as it has a battery life that will last through lectures and classes, and its weight makes it easy to carry around campus.
This laptop is also a good choice for anyone who needs to be able to work efficiently on the go. Plus, it’s light-weight enough that taking it with you won’t hurt your back when you’re walking from place to place. In addition, this laptop does not get hot easily, so even during heavy use on hot days this computer will not fry your thighs like some laptops have been known to do in the past.
students and anyone who wants to be able to work efficiently on the go

It has enough power to handle most computer tasks and is best suited for working from home or creating content. These features in combination allow the user to enjoy the laptop while they watch their favorite show on Netflix or while they are writing a paper for school.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
You can use it as a laptop or tablet, which means you can get two for the price of one. You’ll be able to switch between modes quickly, so no need to make a permanent decision. It also has fast performance and long battery life, which means you’ll be able to game all night long without worrying about your screen dying.
Cons: The HP Pavilion X360 is bulky and heavy when used as a tablet, weighing in at more than 4 pounds. Plus, the 14-inch screen is too small for gaming on when you have it in tablet mode. The laptop’s other cons are its keyboard and trackpad. They’re not the best and leave something to be desired when compared with other laptops on the market today. And while this laptop isn’t cheap, it’s also not very pricey considering all that it offers
Drawbacks
- No graphics card. This isn’t a gaming laptop or a workstation. If you want to play any 3D games, you won’t be doing it well on this machine.
- No DVD drive. Not many laptops come with these anymore, but if you need one, this isn’t the right machine for your needs.
- No HDMI port. If you have an external monitor without DisplayPort and need to do business presentations on it, the Pavilion x360 is not right for your needs.
- No Thunderbolt port. The HP Pavilion x360 14 has a USB Type-C port, but it doesn’t support Thunderbolt 3 data transfer speeds (up to 40 Gbps). If you have external devices that require Thunderbolt 3 speeds, then this is not the laptop for you.
- Few ports overall: Although having only two USB ports means that there’s less chance of accidentally opening them when switching from tent mode to tablet mode (something that could easily happen with four), it does mean that some accessories may need adapters or docking stations in order to plug in properly and work correctly (such as flash drives or mice). The lack of dedicated video out ports also makes connecting this device at home more difficult than other similar models like Dell Inspiron 7373 which has both HDMI output as well as VGA connector – so unless all monitors/TVs are wireless ones already (some are) they cannot be plugged directly into either end without some sort of adapter/converter box installed first.”
