The XPS 13 has a beautiful, luxurious build that’s felt by anyone who touches it. It feels sturdy and well built. And the size is perfect—compact but not cramped, with a weight that’s easy to handle while you’re on the go. It has a good battery life and powerful processors, with an excellent display, keyboard, touchpad, webcam and speakers—plus a good port selection. And it didn’t get too hot while I was using it (important because my laptop is always sitting on my lap).

Pros:This laptop is a stunner
The bezels are minimal. You get more screen space in this tiny laptop than you would in most laptops with the same 13.4″ footprint. As an added bonus, it has a striking Quad HD+ resolution that’s great for watching movies or working on your latest project.
Drawbacks
- But there are some drawbacks to this device: Dell has decided to include just a single USB Type-C port on the XPS 13, which means you’ll need to invest in an adapter or two if you want to plug in more accessories. The lack of Ethernet connectivity is also disappointing, and that’s not even mentioning a missing SD card slot and fingerprint reader.
- The XPS 13’s display isn’t a touch screen out of the box, but at least it supports stylus input if you ever decide to pick up one of those accessories from Dell. Unfortunately, this machine doesn’t have discrete graphics so don’t expect much from gaming, though Intel’s integrated Iris Xe GPU should be enough for everyday tasks and streaming video. Also keep in mind that opting for the Core i7 model will likely diminish your battery life considerably, as we only got 3 hours and 19 minutes out of this configuration in our HD video rundown test versus over 6 hours with the Core i5 model.

As a tablet, I have great RAM (8GB), storage space (256GB SSD), and a long battery life – all the things you need to enjoy the internet while on-the-go.

The screen is a good one. It is clear and the touch features work well.
Good keyboard
The keyboard is very good. Some people complain about it but they are wrong, probably because they are spoiled by other keyboards that are also good. This keyboard is just as usable as those keyboards and might be even better in some situations. The touchpad is good too, although having the left and right click buttons integrated into the touchpad itself took me several days to get used to without accidentally clicking stuff when I didn’t want to click it. But it’s fine now so don’t worry about it.

The keyboard on this laptop is bad for typing fast because it has a very low key travel speed of 0 miles per hour (mph), which makes it difficult to type quickly and can result in many mistakes being made by your fingers when you press the keys down more aggressively so that they will register on the paper or whatever.
